I found this denim overall dress by 55DSL online the other day and just thought it was super cute. If there’s one word that sums up the 55DSL attitude, it is “fun”. 55DSL is an experimental spin-off from Diesel, inspired by radical sports – snow, surf and skate.

It moves effortlessly between skate-park and nightclub and is so unique its sure to get a few heads turning. Wear is casual with a tee and some sneakers or dress it up with a sexy shiny tee and some strappy sandals. This outfit would work great with large accessories such as a belt, big dangle jewelry or even some knee high boots. Its a fun outfit to play around with so have fun.

There are so many awesome denim dresses out right now I am not sure which direction to even look! One thing is for certain, sexy denim dresses are super trendy and tres chic this summer season. Celebrities have been spotted all over Hollywood wearing denim dresses and not just to the coffee shop or walking around town- but to big premiers and social functions. Yes, denim has definitely made a breakthrough and become one of the hottest fabrics to be seen wearing these days.

A simple denim dress on a hot day can be very cute and perfect for a first date. A sexy denim cocktail dress, like this DKNY denim dress, can be the ideal item for a special night out. You can now replace your standard black cocktail dress this season and grab a cute little designer denim outfit and look fabulous. Plus, denim fabric is a bit thicker than other materials so as a sexy dress, it looks fantastic on most all body types, just keep the length in check and you will look divine.

It is so fantastic that women can throw on a denim dress and wear it from day to night with just a few simple changes as well. During the day try wearing a light or dark colored, simple, and casual denim dress with cute sandals or even flip flops. At night I’d opt for a slightly tighter fitting denim dress with a sexy thick belt around the waist and toss on some heels; if its a chilly night then grab that chic black jacket and wear it, just keep the jacket on the shorter side.

The one thing I honestly adore about this dress is that it is simple, yet allows for a number of wearing options. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of bows, but this dress seems to pull it off nicely. And if a bow isn’t your thing, a super cute red or black belt would look awesome wrapped around the waistline. DKNY denim dress from Nordstroms for $79.

A Look Into Denim Skirts

Factory Girl Denim SkirtDenim is a material that was first introduced in the coal mining days. The workers needed a material that could stand up to the harsh working conditions, and it wasn’t long before the blue jeans were introduced. In the 1970′s, denim gave birth to something that would change women’s fashion forever: the denim skirt, much like this factory girl denim skirt which has gone around the fashion circle full swing and is now one of the hottest skirts out there.

Denim skirts have many different variants from the long version to the shorter version. It could come to your knees, it could reach your ankles, or it could very well stop somewhere in the thigh region. There are also a few different designs. For instance some of them might actually be made like a pair of jeans with a button flap in the front. Many are made like an actual skirt with an elastic waistband or a drawstring. The types of denim skirts are nearly unlimited, only leaving a few questions. One such question is what to wear with them.

The great part about denim skirts is that they are not particularly formal. You could probably get away with wearing a simple t-shirt, but many people like to coordinate a bit better. For instance you could wear a tank top or depending on the length of the skirt you could choose to go a bit more elaborate.

For the most part you will only want to go formal if the skirt reaches below your knees, because going formal with anything less would be a bit tacky. On the other side of the coin, going informal with something longer doesn’t look so good either. Formality of course, should be reserved for special occasions, and sometimes you need to think about yourself! The problem with a longer denim skirts is that they don’t show off your shape very well. With a longer length you may wish to wear a top that hits at the hips and hugs your body to balance out the look. This will show off your shape, and if you really want to draw attention you should dress in layers.

When you dress in layers, people have more to look at, and they might just look at you longer! The best thing you can do when wearing a denim skirt is wear a camisole under something with a low neck line or even under button up shirt or sweater that you leave open. The same premise goes for miniskirts and short skirts. If you wear a tank top you could wear a simple sweater over top to give off the impression that your outfit is more complicated than it actually is.

The important thing is to choose something that has confident colors. You don’t want to fade into the background, you want to be out there so people notice you! For instance, pink and black tend to show that you are confident, and people will definitely pay attention to you when you walk by. Make sure that you choose a color that goes with your skin tone however and makes you feel amazing.

With a bit of work and a lot of research you can make the most of that jean skirt! Just keep trying to find colors that go with your skin, hair, and eyes. The most important thing though, is to make yourself look the way you feel inside, no matter how that is.

A neat video on how large scale manufacturers create a pair of jeans in all of 12 minutes and 1500 pairs of jeans in a day. Most designer jeans require more distressing and a lot more time, hence the reason they cost more. This video is interesting to watch though, or so I thought.
