Men’s Skinny Jeans Are a Fashion Do!
Posted on 11. Mar, 2010 by denimlover.
A few years ago when men’s skinny jeans entered mainstream fashion, it looked like it was just a fad that would easily go away after men have had enough of the often tight fit from the waist to the ankles. Plus, it took a while for many men to warm up to the idea of other men wearing very thin, tight jeans that were normally just seen on women.
Despite such perceptions, however, men’s skinny jeans are gaining ground in street and runway fashion. And we are not just talking about punk rock bands, skaters and BMX bikers either! Celebrities like Justine Timberlake and Zach Efron wear skinny jeans without fear of being labeled less than men. Many people debate whether to wear skinny jeans or not and what is right for them, but we say its a yes for almost everyone.
What makes men’s skinny jeans so popular nowadays?
Well, with their tapered legs and narrow ankles, skinny jeans emphasize the contours of the legs. Think of it as the men’s way of hiding flaws in their legs while still emphasizing their assets, which may or may not be their crotches. You decide. For example, if you have toned legs, then skinny jeans are the best way to show them off without undressing down to your boxers and birthday suit. But if you have less-than-Adonis-like limbs, then skinny jeans will nonetheless accentuate the assets while hiding the liabilities. The trick is in choosing the best style in men’s skinny jeans for your leg and body type.
Skinny jeans are very much popular for the younger set of males like skateboarders and BMX riders simply because the material, style and fit allow them to move more freely than the baggy style of jeans. Plus, there is no excess fabric that can get caught in the bike’s moving parts.
Yet another reason why skinny jeans are surprise hits amongst men is that there are many styles, fits and materials to accommodate just about every body type, fashion preference and physical activity. In fact, you will be initially confused with the terms provided by the manufacturers but with practice, you can easily give a few useful tips on men’s skinny jeans yourself.
You will see men’s skinny jeans from major denim manufacturers in all shades of blue and black using materials as diverse as denim, spandex, and stretchable corduroy. You can even find skinny jeans in various lengths from capris to jeans with an extra length on the ankles for the scrunched-up look. And then there is the cost of the skinny jeans. Most of these jeans are very affordable with price starting at just $30 from levi’s, pacific sunwear, or many major department stores. Designer skinny jeans can range as high as $400 for a single pair.
Of course, not everybody is suited to wear men’s skinny jeans. But if you are one of the lucky individuals, then we think keeping the look simple with a clean shirt and casual shoes looks best.

These jeans are so much fun, and make such a statement. A limited number of people can actually get away with these sexy jeans, but if you are looking to stand out and make a statement, these jeans are most definitely eye candy and get some serious attention.
Many celebrities have been spotted wearing these turquoise colored jeans such as Jennifer Lopez, and Ashley Simpson. Many popular style jeans also come in red and purple these days. The jeans shown here are Denim of Virtue Grace Flare Jeans and are perfect for a summer evening or out clubbing.
Denim of Virtue is a fantastic brand with a ton of different styles- no matter what your body type they usually have something perfect to fit your body. Widely known for their sexy skinny jeans, I still prefer their boot cut, they are a true trend setter in denim. You can always recognize the brand itself by the subtle “V” embroidered on the side of the leg.
Delicious Denim tip: If you are daring enough to wear these, you might as well go all out and wear the sexist pair or stiletto’s or high heals you can. Just pair it with a classy top, because revealing too much isn’t all that sexy.

To Wear Skinny Jeans or Not to Wear Skinny Jeans?
Posted on 10. Jan, 2009 by denimgirl.
One of those trends that just never really seem to go away is the “skinny jean”. Several brands carry this style of designer jean and they all vary between stretchy/non-stretchy, low ride and ultra-low ride, zippered, sleek, and more. Its up to you to figure out exactly which style you like best and what you are going to be comfortable in most.
Wondering if skinny jeans are for you? We say yes! It is a pretty common misconception for those with a full figure to stay away from skinny jeans. Skinny jeans can really make a larger figure look smaller, especially if they are a nice color and paired with some very cute high heels or sexy boots and a lengthy top to balance out the top of the leg and hips.
We also suggest for a fuller thigh to stick with a darker wash to create a slimmer look. Many brands offer skinny jeans in very giving fabrics that have some stretch to them as well, so be sure to try on several types and brands.
Most body types can really look nice in a pair of skinny jeans. Petite frames, such as Nicole Ritchie in the photo above, can really lengthen their frames with these jeans and some nice high heels. Give them a try and don’t be afraid to give this style a chance, you might just fall in love.
