How To Wear Denim Leggings
Posted on 18. Oct, 2010 by denimlover.

Leggings are back in style for this winter and for many women that is good news as leggings are comfortable, easy to care for and can be used to create a variety of styles. Denim leggings of course are very popular as denim never seems to go out of style. However, there are a few dos and don’ts to wearing denim leggings you might want to consider. Here are a few suggestions that may help you decide if leggings are the right fashion statement for you.
Don’t Wear Leggings If……
You should probably not wear leggings if you are too big or too small. Leggings are extremely tight fitting and not only will show every single bulge on your legs, hips and buttocks but they also make extremely thin legs look even thinner giving a tooth pick look to woman with skinny legs. While leggings can look great on medium size or shapely legs they can make someone with skinny or heavy legs look thinner or heavier.
Don’t Wear Short Shirts With Leggings
The unwritten rule for wearing leggings is that your buttocks should be covered by your shirt. Even if you have a great looking tush, it simply will not look good in just the leggings. If you want to show off your backside then try wearing a close fitting hip length tee with a wide belt. That will make a much classier statement. If you do want to wear a short shirt with leggings then add a mini skirt so that your backside has some covering.
Don’t Wear Dresses That Are Too Long With Leggings
Dresses can look great with denim leggings however the dresses should run about mid thigh. Never wear a dress that is mid knee or below the Knee with leggings as this goes beyond a layered look and simply looks sloppy. If you are looking for a great dress to wear with your denim leggings this winter choose a short sweater dress in your favorite color, this will look casual, sporty and classy all at the same time.
Do Wear Your Leggings With…..
There are a variety of clothing that look good with your denim leggings. You can wear your leggings with long sweaters and tunics, big shirts, short dresses and skirts. Leggings look particularly good with any style dress, skirt or top that falls to just below the buttocks to mid thigh. As for shoes, leggings look great with all kinds of shoes with the exception of tennis shoes.
Wearing delicious denim leggings this winter can be a great way to add a bit of perk to your wardrobe. They are comfortable, easy to care for and provide a sense of style, can range from chic to outrageous. As long as you follow a few simple dos and dont’s of wearing leggings you will find that they give you a unique opportunity to express your sense of style while helping to keep the cold winter winds from freezing your legs.

Ladies Jeans – A Fashion Staple in Every Woman’s Closet
Posted on 05. May, 2010 by denimlover.
Denim jeans are a staple in every woman’s closet because they are one of the most versatile and popular items of clothing. A good pair of jeans can be worn with a sweatshirt and tennis shoes or dressed up with heels and a blouse. Jeans are also one of the more stylish options for days when you need to head from a casual day in the office to looking great on an evening date.
Most women don’t just go to the store and purchase a pair of denim jeans these days. This is an item that is shopped for seriously since there are so many different styles.
First Thing’s First- The Right Fit
What type of ladies jeans any given woman purchases depends largely on her shape and what type of fit she feels most comfortable in. Women who are very slender and tall without a lot of curves can manage slim fit and straight leg jeans nicely. Those with a bit more curve tend to do better in a nice boot cut or boyfriend style jeans. Even the seemingly less forgiving styles like the skinny jeans can look amazing on a woman with any type of body.
Many women feel comfortable in a tighter fitting jean that is made from stretchy material. Skinny jeans are usually made in this fashion with tightly tapered bottoms and material that is meant to be worn skin-tight. There are different styles of skinny jeans, with the tightest variety being designated for women or men with the tall, slender body type.
Skinny jeans are notably stylish yet not always the most comfortable thing to wear. Hence the trends and fluctuation of denim popularity- styles comes and go and with it new fabrics, styles, and ways to wear jeans.
A classical boot cut jean with slightly widened legs is a popular choice for most women because they can be purchased in a different styles and they tend to flatter women of all shapes and sizes. Larger sized pockets are flattering to women who want to highlight their rear ends while stylish fading and other decorative details are often added to set higher end jeans apart from low budget jeans.
Most women go for a fit that is tailored to their body’s natural shape. Many designer clothing lines are now coming out with woman’s jeans made just for particular shapes and they are becoming the most popular trend yet. These ‘made to fit’ and super tailored jeans are super desirable because they deliver the perfect fit for every woman- imagine; no more trying on jeans that don’t fit… ever again!
Getting The Right Look Down to a Science
Fit is extremely important, but it is often the second thing a woman thinks of when she shops for jeans. It is of course the outer style that first grabs a woman’s attention. Current trends are focusing on unique fade patterns and crisp, clean lines, though some women are still favoring the worn-in, distressed style that was popular a few years back.
Denim jeans can be classically styled to deliver a sophisticated, upscale look or completely rocked out with fading and factory made rips and tears to give that rock-n-roll vibe. Most women will own a variety of styles to accommodate different occasions.
High fashion and ladies designer jeans have made such a statement that women now want something that has been immaculately tailored and designed to fit her personal body type, or that has very unique stylish features. Fortunately denim designers are on top of this and offer solutions for every woman and man. These days, denim jeans are more of a fashion statement than ever and we are quite sure this fashion will be here forever.

This Season’s Denim Clothing Trend is… Anything Goes!
Posted on 23. Apr, 2010 by denimlover.
The denim trends for 2010 are hotter than ever. Denim has long been a trendy favorite for the fashionable, but this season will introduce a few surprises. When it comes to the 2010 season, everything goes. People are wearing denim in many different ways this season. Denim is no longer restricted this spring or summer. With the right know how, you can wear denim in any form, shape or color.
Faux Pas or Hot?
Jeans come and jeans go. In the past, during these different fashion transitions, you had to follow the lastest magazines to know if you were in style or not. Jeans were no exception. Should they be low or high risers? Should you wear them baggy or skin tight? For the 2010 spring season just about anything goes. However you choose to wear your jeans will be considered fashionable. If you want to wear them torn and ripped, skinny, slouchy or in a slimming silhouette form, there are plenty of options.
Making a Comeback
MiH is a British brand of jean that is making a comeback with stars like Rihanna and Jessica Alba sporting their many different styles. What is considered surprising about this particular brand of jean is that it is considered to be a retro style jean. One of the first celebrities to sport these jeans was Farrah Fawcett. They were fashionable then and they are fashionable now. You just have to use them to fit into your particular style.
This brand of jean has selections that are made for everyone and not just models. There are cuts and rises that fit every different body type. There was a time that no one wanted to wear high cut or high rise jeans. These jeans were associated with older women and were called “mommy jeans.” However, this is no longer the viewpoint today. Whatever type of denim cut suits your purpose for comfort and style is considered fashionable for the 2010 season. The MiH brand has many different styles and rises to choose from that will flatter everyone.
Particular Trends
The trend is to let go and wear what makes you happy. Nothing is a faux pas; however, there are a few trends that are slowly emerging. Frayed short shorts, edgy denim jackets are big, sexy white jeans are a popular summer trend, and loose fitting boyfriend jeans (Genetic Denim jeans shown in photo) are still very fashionable, but they are even more desirable in bleached or distressed denim for the 2010 spring season. Unlike other seasons where torn and ripped denim have been worn, this season introduces a surprising twist and the sexier you can be in your torn and bleached jeans the better. Match your jeans with a hot belt and some sassy shoes and you are set.
Denim is a staple, but change it up a little. Go against the trends of the past. Instead of blue denim try a light or white denim. This is a very hot trend of the 2010 spring season. Pair white jeans with a white tee shirt and colorful accessories. Or, go for another trend this season and wear denim on denim. This has also been considered a faux pas in the past, but can wear your denim however you want to wear it. Be creative. If you mess up, just start over again. When it comes to denim, nothing will be considered unfashionable this season.

Skinny White Jeans, Delicious Summer Denim
Posted on 19. Mar, 2010 by denimgirl.
With summer just right around the corner, one of the hottest styles and colors this season is white! White jeans give a clean, classic look and go great with any kind of top. I am in love with these super sexy and super skinny white jeans shown here by Wesc Jeans. They really make the transition from spring to summer super easy too.
White jeans are also ultra classy in the sense you can dress them up or dress them down and most people won’t even call them ‘jeans’ so you can probably get away with wearing them even at the office on a nice casual Friday. Delicious denim skinny jeans also make the transition from day to night super easy- paired here with flip flops they are cute and simple, yet add some daring stiletto heels and a sexy tank top and you are ready to hit the town in style.
And guys, don’t despair- white mens skinny jeans are a do for you as well! Men can wear white these days just as women do and should follow the same rules as avoiding the color past labor day and avoid wearing white with white unless you add a splash of color else wear (shoes, hat, belt, jackets, etc.). Mens white skinny jeans paired with a sexy dark blazer look amazing together and can also go from a day to night look very quickly.
Delicious Denim Tip: White jeans can get dirty very quickly so be sure to wash them as soon as you can when a stain happens so it won’t set in. Never use bleach on jeans as it wears the material very thin, but a light spray of a stain remover is fine.
